THE UNSEEN EP.3

It’s Monday morning and it’s my birthday. I heard a light knock on my door, I knew it was either my mum or my dad. I deleted yesterday’s event from my memory, it’s a great day today and it won’t be a good thing starting my birthday with a fight. I went to the door but what I saw choked the life out of me. I had to close my door and open to see if I’m not imagining things but the two fighters were still there with cake in my mother’s hand and my dad smiling like he just won a lotto. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! They both screamed My jaw dropped like I don’t know what to say. I was just there speechless looking like a Jonah that is about to get swallowed by the shark. Then I remembered it’s first of April.   It’s Sunday morning I didn’t feel like going to church cause I have this heavy pounding in my head due to the stress I went through yesterday. I dragged myself out of the bed to join my parent for morning devotion. Sometimes I just wonder why they disturb themselves with this morning devotion. I hurried to the sitting room and greeted my parent. They didn’t answer and I did not care. Jade, my dad called but I didn’t bother to reply. I know you’re angry, he continues. I’m sorry for what happened yesterday, it’s just….. It’s just what dad? I said You both put me through this everyday leaving me with so much pain. Do you know how I feel seeing you both like this? THE UNSEEN EP 1

Good morning mum, good morning Dad, I greeted. Good morning they chorused. We were about to have our morning devotion, I went to my room to get my bible when I heard an argument between my parent. God! Why won’t these two just let me live in peace. I quickly rushed down the stairs before everything got out of hand. Just as I thought, my dad and mum has started fighting. I tried to get between them as I saw my dad holding my mum in the neck. I was thinking of what to do before my dad choke life out of my mum. I cried and tried to separate them but all was to no avail. I don’t want to be an orphan yet even if I wish I am. I quickly rushed to the kitchen and took a knife and put it on my father’s neck to distract him. When I finally succeeded in distracting him, I directed the knife to myself and threatened to kill myself if they don’t stop fighting. Life isn't life without hardships. Sometimes in the smooth road, there's always a bump so we have to beware of how we drive.  The unseen is about unexpected occurrences in the life of certain people.  ****** Mum! I yelled What happened to you? Why are you groaning in so much pain? Somebody help me, I screamed. What happened to your mother? One of my neighbors asked. I don’t know ma. I just came back from school and met her groaning in pain. I replied. One of my neighbors whose car was available took my mother to the hospital, she got treated and some drugs was prescribed to relieve the pain. Have you called your father? One of my neighbors asked. I sit here alone listening to my music, Ignoring the passers by with their different physic, Enjoying my smoothie even though I'm moody, The feeling in my body made me recognize nobody. But you came all along and everything seems different, Even if I have a feeling I try to hide my interest, You were walking up to me with a smile on your face, But I had to ignore so you won't see the trace. Why the discrimination all over the nation? People facing situations from detestation. You’re rich and I’m poor but that doesn’t give you the right to mock me at every chance you get. Our status might be different but you don't have to be unlenient just because you have enough and I’m trying to scale through the rough. You have a rich parent to care for your needs but I have to do the hard jobs to make ends meet. Yeah, we're different, financially, physically but should you toy with me mentally?
